125 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENERGY, ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING Having accumulated more than 25 years of professional experience, Dr. Sivakumar Ramasamy is a proven leader in business administration and management. He recently joined Stanley Black & Decker Inc., in 2022 as the vice president of research and development. He previously worked with STANLEY Engineered Fastening from 2010 to 2022 in several key management roles pertaining to marketing and innovation. In his current leadership role, Dr. Ramasamy oversees various business operations, primarily in relation to product prototyping and development in the field of industrial manufacturing. At the onset of his career, Dr. Ramasamy joined STANLEY Engineered Fastening when it was still known as Emhart Teknologies LLC. To this end, he operated as a product development engineer from 1997 to 2000. Prior to the company’s rebranding, he also worked as an engineering manager from 2000 to 2005 and as a product manager from 2005 to 2009. As part of his dedication to his profession, Dr. Ramasamy has also remained affiliated with the American Welding Society since 1993. Today, he serves as the chairman of the executive committee of the organization’s Detroit chapter. Furthermore, he is a member of the American Society of Metals International, the Society of Automotive Engineers International and Beta Gamma Sigma. Dr. Ramasamy also cultivated a formal education, ultimately achieving a PhD in welding engineering at The Ohio State University in 1997 and an MBA at Oakland University in 2004. Well-regarded for his scholarly endeavors, Dr. Ramasamy has published numerous articles throughout his career, many of which pertain to manufacturing design and processing. Attributing much of his success to his commitment to continued learning and engagement, he is especially proud of his progression through the automotive and tool working industries. In the coming years, Dr. Ramasamy hopes to become the chief technology officer of a large corporation or the chief executive officer of a small company.
