142 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENTREPRENEURS With over two decades of professional experience to his credit, Darrin Bennett has excelled as a business owner and engineer. Specializing in fire safety equipment and procedures, he currently serves as the owner and lead systems design engineer at Bennett’s Fire Designs LLC, where he oversees the production and management of various fire alarm systems. In his leadership role, Mr. Bennett is primarily responsible for creating fire alarm system blueprints and schematics, in addition to managing his staff of highly trained professionals. Prior to beginning his own business venture, Mr. Bennett worked with Siemens in Columbus, Ohio, from 2000 to 2021. He originally joined the company as a service technician and system installer and inspector, a position he held until 2007, at which point he became a senior fire alarm design engineer. He later held roles as a project manager and service operations manager, and prior to departing the business in 2021, he returned to a senior design engineer position. Ever committed to his industry, Mr. Bennett also remains affiliated with the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET). As part of his dedication to his profession, Mr. Bennett has also acquired several certifications. To this end, he is certified at level three in fire alarm systems by NICET, in addition to holding certifications in fire alarm installations, testing and inspections. Furthermore, he was certified by Siemens in their fire-lite, Desigo, Desigo CC and NCC systems. Over the course of his career, Mr. Bennett has been proud to have installed fire safety systems in many establishments, including in the dormitories and buildings at The Ohio State University. Additionally, he was involved in the transformation project at Riverside Hospital and Riverside Neurological Tower. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his success to the consistent quality of his work, which he holds in high regard.
