She established her own business, Coastal980, in 2018. Based in South Carolina, the home goods brand and skin care apothecary is well-regarded for its unique collection of fragrant items, including candles, shampoos, conditioners, body and dish soaps, deodorants and aroma oils. All of Ms. Elias’s plantbased products promote natural skincare and household management with no synthetic fragrances, chemicals or preservatives used. Since beginning her business, Ms. Elias has cultivated a healthy clientele, having grown in popularity with Airbnb, Inc., owners, local stores and farmers’ markets, as well as numerous online vendors and customers. As the owner, she oversees all daily operations while also working alongside her husband. Prior to founding her company, Ms. Elias worked as a selfemployed nanny for 14 years. Having always been interested in skincare, however, she naturally gravitated toward beginning her own product line, having also been encouraged to pursue her goals by her friends and family. In her other previous professional and civic-minded endeavors, Ms. Elias volunteered with the children’s ministry at her local church for many years. To commemorate her accomplishments in the field, she and her company were recently featured in the South Carolina Voyager in 2022. In light of her fulfilling career, she has largely attributed her success to her passion, ambition, and the loyalty and support of her clientele. Likewise, in accounting for her accomplishments, Ms. Elias is particularly proud to have helped improve the lives of many of her customers with her products. To wit, her skincare items have been proven to aid in healing and relieving troublesome skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis. Looking toward the future, Ms. Elias hopes to open a storefront for her company soon, as well as develop a means for customers to refill their products.
