She subsequently continued her studies at Western Governors University and achieved a Bachelor of Science in business administration and management in 2017. In addition to her academic credentials, she spent time working with the Veterans Conservation Corps, People for Puget Sound and Americorps. To commemorate her early accomplishments in her military career, Ms. Proudsworth was honored with an Army Achievement Medal from the 351st Civil Affairs Command in 2005 and from the 448th Civil Affairs Battalion in 2008. She attributes her success to her time in the military, which taught her discipline and determination through adversity. Ms. Proudsworth has enjoyed the experience of building her spa business and is planning an expansion in the near future. Taryn M. Proudsworth leverages over a decade of professional experience as a rising leader in the health and wellness industry as a massage therapist. In 2020, she transformed her business offering in-home massage services into a brick-andmortar location known as Salt & Sage Massage in downtown Port Orchard, Washington. As a well-regarded business in the community, she offers personalized services to help reduce stress, increase relaxation and relieve muscular tension. With a passion for helping people, her work includes noteworthy services such as CBD, prenatal and meditative massage. After serving as a civil affairs specialist in the United States Army Reserve, Ms. Proudsworth spent time honing her customer service skills in retail sales at Nordstrom and Gregg’s Cycle. She has worked as a massage therapist since 2010. Her broad experience includes medical massage at Intuitive Bodywork, in-home treatments with the Zeel Network, and high-end services at local spas including Gene Juarez, Olympus and Glade Spring Spa.
