155 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENTREPRENEURS Jonathan Russo is a rising business owner and entrepreneur, having served as the owner of The Bidwell Tavern in Coventry, Connecticut, since 2019. In his leadership role, he oversees all daily operations and ensures customer satisfaction. Originally founded in 1822, the establishment has remained a staple of the community, serving customers with excellent customer service and high-quality dishes, drinks and experiences. In this regard, Mr. Russo’s patrons often rave about the chicken wings, as well as other items, such as the French onion soup. Mr. Russo originally joined his business in 2016 as a manager, during which time he learned everything there was to learn about his profession, from bartending and cooking to hiring and managing his staff. Prior to taking on complete ownership of the business, his uncle owned the tavern for 20 years. Furthermore, he previously pursued a formal education, ultimately achieving a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Miami in 2016. With the restaurant having recently celebrated its 200-year anniversary in 2022, Mr. Russo worked alongside his local historical society to plan and hold an event to commemorate the occasion. It also allowed him and his staff to celebrate their success in remaining open and active during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which time they thrived on takeout orders only. As part of his dedication to his professional endeavors, Mr. Russo has remained affiliated with the Connecticut Restaurant Association. Looking toward the future, he hopes to find continued success in all of his vocational pursuits, primarily by keeping his customers happy and well-fed.
