17 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARCHITECTURE, CONSTRUCTION AND REAL ESTATE Ron Kopels is bolstered by over four decades of professional experience in the field of architecture. Since 1986, he has served as the owner and lead architect of the Ron Kopels Studio, an architectural design firm based in New York, where he specializes in residential, commercial and institutional projects. Operating as the head of his company, Mr. Kopels has worked on many notable developments over the course of his career, including art foundations and synagogues. Furthermore, as the head of his company, he supervises and works alongside his team of four other talented professionals. In addition to managing his own company, Mr. Kopels previously lent his architectural talents to several other companies, having previously operated as a partner with ARC Development Group and as a project architect for Butler Rogers Baskett Architects. Additionally, he worked with Sottsass Associata, an architecture studio located in Milan, Italy. Mr. Kopels’ work overseas came to fruition after he received a Fulbright fellowship for private studies in Florence, Italy, making him one of the youngest individuals to have ever been awarded the honor. As part of his vocational journey, he also pursued a formal education, studying at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and achieving a bachelor’s degree in 1981. Outside of his primary professional endeavors, Mr. Kopels also remains deeply interested in and committed to his pursuits as a painter. To this end, his interest in the arts served as a source of inspiration for his transition into the architecture industry. He was further inspired to begin his own business after working with other exceptional businesses and building his own clientele. In accounting for his accomplishments, Mr. Kopels is grateful for all the success he has found as a business owner for over 30 years, and he is particularly proud of his work with the Daedalus Foundation.
