192 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine GOVERNMENT AND MILITARY As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Sprouse pursued a formal education, originally earning a BS in agricultural education at South Dakota State University in 1972. He subsequently continued his studies throughout his time in the Air Force, earning an MS in systems management at the University of Southern California in 1980. He continued completing coursework in various fields, studying at such institutions as the Air War College, Columbia University and the Wright Patterson Air Force Base. To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Sprouse has been honored with numerous accolades, including a Leadership Award from P E Systems, Inc., in 2006 and several service and achievement medals for his military service. Furthermore, he has been recognized for his commitment to civic advocacy. Mr. Sprouse has largely attributed his success to his discipline, efficiency and dedicated work ethic. With more than 40 years of professional experience to his credit, Col. Danny G. Sprouse has cultivated a fulfilling military career. He joined the United States Air Force in 1972 and operated with the branch until 2002, at which point he retired with the rank of colonel. During his time in the field, Mr. Sprouse served in several key roles, focusing on the fields of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, in addition to assisting in critical command and control operations for the Strategic Air Command and the National Airborne Operations Center. Likewise, Mr. Sprouse excelled in logistics and aircraft maintenance. As a leader in the field, Mr. Sprouse served as a squadron commander on two occasions, and he was a deputy commander for maintenance and a two-time deputy logistics group commander. Prior to retiring, he was the chief of the inspection and assessments division at the Air Force Materiel Command, in addition to working on various compliance inspections. After exiting his military service, Mr. Sprouse worked with P E Systems Inc. in Dayton, Ohio, originally joining as an acquisitions manager in 2002, serving as vice president of the company in 2011 and as KC-46 Tanker program lead until his retirement in 2015.
