WRIGHT Recognized as a leader in emergency preparedness and military operations, Tacorya J. Wright has excelled as an emergency preparedness specialist with NYC Emergency Management since 2022. Entering the field of emergency planning following his tenure in the United States Army, where he participated in Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq, he has continued to serve as a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) specialist and sergeant in the Army Reserves since 2018. Earlier, Mr. Wright was an intensive case coordinator and case manager at The Consortium from 2015 to 2021 and an intensive case manager at Community Council Health Systems in 2016. Mr. Wright holds certifications in HAZMAT awareness, operations and mass decontamination, as well as a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Alabama State University and a master’s degree in criminal justice from St. Joseph’s University. Presently, he is pursuing a master’s degree in homeland security and crisis, emergency and disaster management at the Metropolitan College of New York. In the coming years, Mr. Wright intends to work directly under FEMA, leveraging his passion for helping others.
