Ever committed to health care education as well, Dr. Clark has similarly operated in several positions as a professor and university faculty member, notably working with the University of Texas Health San Antonio and the University of Florida. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Dr. Clark served in the United States Army for 10 years, achieving the rank of lieutenant colonel. He also served in the United States Air Force for another 10 years, where he earned the rank of colonel. Throughout the duration of his combined service, Dr. Clark operated in various military medical missions in Central America. Ever committed to his profession, he currently remains affiliated with several organizations, including the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology. Dr. Clark cultivated his own higher education before beginning his career. To wit, he earned a DDS at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1965 and an MD at the University of Texas Medical Branch John Sealy School of Medicine in 1970. In addition to his academic credentials, he has also completed several residency programs in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, and he is licensed to practice medicine in Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Alabama. Well-regarded for his expertise, Dr. Clark has also offered his insight in the publication of numerous scholarly articles and papers. To commemorate his achievements, he has been honored with numerous accolades, including a Distinguished Service Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery in 2010. Dr. William D. Clark leverages over 50 years of professional experience as a proven leader in the health care industry. Specializing as a pediatric otolaryngologist, he has served at the Children’s Ear, Nose & Throat Center of the Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas, since 2018.
