In her leadership roles, Mrs. Smith excels in guiding her patients in dealing with their traumas, utilizing both individual and group therapy methods. Adjacent to her primary professional endeavors, Mrs. Smith remains active as an author, often writing about her work and personal experiences. Prior to her current appointments, she accrued a wealth of expertise working as a behavioral teaching assistant and urban priorities behavioral teaching assistant at the Peel District School Board from 2011 to 2022. Additionally, Mrs. Smith was an education assistant worker for the York Region District School Board from 2004 to 2011. Before embarking on her vocational journey, Mrs. Smith cultivated her own higher education, beginning at Seneca College, where she earned a diploma as a social service worker in 2003. She subsequently continued her studies in social work over the course of her career and achieved a bachelor’s degree at the University of Manitoba in 2019 and a master’s degree at Walden University in 2023. In addition to her academic credentials, she also holds a certificate in behavioral science from Humber College. In light of her fulfilling career, Mrs. Smith has largely attributed her success to her grandfather, who has always stood as one of the most supportive figures in her life. Likewise, in accounting for her accomplishments, she is particularly proud to have written her 2022 book, “Once Broken,” which serves as proof of her remarkable courage throughout her own personal healing journey. In the coming years, Mrs. Smith aims to engage in more public speaking appearances to help teenagers who have experienced sexual abuse. Furthermore, she hopes to continue her academic studies and achieve a PhD. With two decades of professional experience to her credit, Tanasha Diana Smith is a proven expert in the fields of social work and education.
