Biggs, PhD, LLC Dallas, TX HEALTH AND WELLNESS Mykel Agongo leverages more than a decade of professional experience as a rising expert in the health care industry. Specializing in hematology, she has excelled as a medical laboratory scientist at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, since 2016. In her current role, she runs tests and experiments on body fluids and Complete Blood Counts (CBC) and conducts coagulation studies and COVID-19 testing. Previously, Ms. Agongo worked with the medical center as a sterile processing technician from 2013 to 2016. She was also a microbiology laboratory technician at Advanced Analysis Inc. between 2014 and 2015. Before beginning her vocational journey, Ms. Agongo pursued a formal education, earning a Bachelor of Arts in biology at Lubbock Christian University in 2013. In addition to her academic credentials, she holds a hematology certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology. To commemorate her achievements, Ms. Agongo was named Employee of the Month by Covenant Medical Center in 2018, and she was honored with a Five Years of Service Award and a 10 Years of Service Award. Specializing in mental health care, particularly pertaining to depression, anxiety and chronic co-morbid medical conditions, she has excelled as a licensed psychologist and sole practitioner since 2020. She has also owned and operated the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Dallas, Texas, since 2020. At the onset of her career, Dr. Biggs was a licensed clinical psychologist at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center within the Department of Psychiatry, Mood Disorder Unit, from 1988 to 2010. As part of her vocational journey, Dr. Biggs pursued a formal education, achieving a PhD. She remains affiliated with several organizations, including the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, the Dallas Psychological Association, the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and the American Psychological Association. To commemorate her achievements in the field, she has been honored with numerous accolades, including an Outstanding Achievement Award from the UT Southwestern Department of Psychiatry in 2003.
