Specializing in gene therapy and animal science, she has excelled as a level two research associate in the department of chemistry at the Scripps Research Institute since 2021. Additionally, since 2020, she has worked as a laboratory manager and level three research associate at the UMass Chan Medical School. She originally joined the latter institution in 2010 as a research assistant. Dr. Li is also the founder and owner of TeaTellTruth, her own tea brand that she began in 2018. Serving as the head of the business, she promotes various Pu-erh teas, which are produced by placing the tea leaves through a unique fermentation process. Teas made in this manner are known to provide stronger health benefits, something on which Dr. Li places a special emphasis. As part of her vocational journey, Dr. Li achieved an MD at the Kumming Medical University in 2010. Well-regarded for her expertise, she has authored numerous scholarly articles over the course of her career. Specializing in gastroenterology, she currently serves with the Center for Digestive Health in Orlando, Florida. Prior to her current appointment, she operated as the chief of gastroenterology at the Orlando VA Medical Center for five years, having also formerly held a similar role at the Orlando Regional Medical Center for eight years. Ever committed to her profession, Dr. Lopez remains affiliated with the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association. Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Dr. Lopez pursued a formal education. A native of Puerto Rico, she studied at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and achieved an MD in 1995. She has also been certified in her field by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Furthermore, she completed her residency in internal medicine at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
