274 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine LAW AND LAW ENFORCEMENT Demonstrating versatility in numerous career paths, James Nebu Winslow is recognized as a civic officer, author, educator and medical professional. For more than 20 years, he has excelled as an officer for the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, having previously held such roles as a public school teacher and personnel with the Veterans Administration Hospital. Likewise, Mr. Winslow contributed to the New York Association of the Blind for seven years. To prepare for his career, Mr. Winslow pursued a formal education at the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, California, receiving a graduate certificate in orthotics. He was subsequently certified in prosthetics by Northwestern University. Additionally, while pursuing studies at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, he was elected to the honor roll. A member of Phi Theta Kappa, Mr. Winslow has likewise been recognized as an accomplished author, having penned the book, “A Violent Marriage.” Additionally, “An Abused Husband Defeated an Abusive American Wife” by penname Lance L. Diesel can be found in Barnes & Noble bookstores. Over the course of his life and career, Mr. Winslow has notably traveled across the United States and overseas to such locations as England, France, Denmark, Sweden and New Zealand. He has further lived in eight cities across seven different U.S. states. Although he has experienced many career highlights, he is particularly proud of publishing his book, which has helped a myriad of men, women and children recognize and triumph above abuse. In the coming years, Mr. Winslow intends to work on creating an audiobook version of “A Violent Marriage” to reach a larger audience. Mr. Winslow lives and works by the mantra, “Always be prepared.” Looking toward the future, he intends to continue cultivating success in all his endeavors.
