308 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SOCIAL SERVICES AND NONPROFIT Prior to beginning his professional civic duties, Mr. Peat worked with the Raytheon Technologies Corporation for 30 years. Before initiating his vocational journey, he cultivated his higher education, beginning at California State University, Fullerton, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. Mr. Peat subsequently continued his studies at California State University, Long Beach and achieved a master’s degree in finance in 1991. In light of his fulfilling career, Mr. Peat has largely attributed his success to his passion for his profession. Likewise, in accounting for his accomplishments, he is particularly proud to have participated in the successful merger of the Cypress and Anaheim branches of the organization, which proved to be challenging but rewarding. In the coming years, Mr. Peat hopes to continue his work with the Boys & Girls Club, and he looks forward to supporting his wife as she serves on the Cypress City Council. Jon E. Peat has dedicated much of his career to civic advocacy and the betterment of his community. Having worked with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cypress for over 15 years, he has primarily served as a board chair of the organization. The company recently merged with the Anaheim, California, branch to form the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater AnaheimCypress. In his leadership position, Mr. Peat utilizes his skills in strategic planning to provide unique oversight for the chief executive officer, measure performance against plans, and recruit and develop new board members and positions. Adjacent to his primary professional endeavors, Mr. Peat has also remained active as a supporter of children with developmental disabilities in his community. He and his wife have also participated in local church efforts for many years, and he has involved himself with Champion Baseball, a local baseball program for disabled children, for 23 years. The father of a disabled child himself, Mr. Peat has always found the act of helping children to be deeply fulfilling. JON E.
