To this end, he has published 10 papers pertaining to his industry work, and he holds 100 patents for new technologies and procedures. Likewise, he is known for his actions as a civic-minded citizen, donating funds to laboratories for field research and investing in various companies in new technologies and new applications. In light of his fulfilling career, Dr. Chen attributes his success to his drive and focus. Furthermore, he is grateful for the support of his team. Dr. Hsinchia “Tim” Chen has cultivated a fulfilling career in the electronics industry, leveraging nearly two decades of experience. Specializing in signal and imaging processing, he has served as a mixed reality display calibration SW developer for Microsoft Inc. since 2024. Additionally, he has operated as a senior software engineer at Electronics for Imaging Inc. since 2019. He began his career at Pixart Imaging Inc. in 2004, joining as a senior algorithm engineer and being promoted to technical deputy manager in 2006. From 2012 to 2015, Dr. Chen excelled as a senior system architect for the company until he was promoted to the role of algorithm lead for the business in the United States in 2015. In his combined professional endeavors, Dr. Chen can typically be found working on various complex algorithms and software-breaking interfaces. Prior to his recent appointments, he worked with Optovue between 2018 and 2019 as a senior staff algorithm scientist. Before embarking on his vocational journey, Dr. Chen pursued a formal education, ultimately achieving a PhD in electronics and engineering, focusing on signal processing and imaging processing at National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan.
