De Paula has cultivated a fulfilling career in the art industry. Specializing in art curation, she has served as the vice president of the Universal Art Gallery in Venice, California, since 1998, having originally co-founded the gallery in 1993. The gallery is well-regarded for its selection of high-quality, custom frames and memorabilia display products, which are offered to clients throughout southern California. As part of her duties, Ms. De Paula oversees various daily operations, particularly ensuring that all employees have everything they require to accomplish their tasks. Likewise, she handles insurance needs for the company and upholds all customer service standards. With a keen eye for detail, she is well-equipped to manage production and quality control for all the company’s products. In her other creative endeavors, Ms. De Paula is the creator of the Universal Art Gallery Online. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. De Paula excelled as a teacher in her native home of Brazil for several years. As an educator, she specialized in teaching by using the Montessori method of education. In her own previous academic efforts, she studied at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida from 1990 to 1994, during which time she completed a wealth of pertinent coursework in fashion and apparel design. Adjacent to her primary interests, Ms. De Paula also remains active in her community as a civic-minded citizen. To wit, since 2013, she has participated as a care coordinator for Kehillat Israel, a Reconstructionist congregation of the Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles. In light of her fulfilling career, Ms. De Paula has largely attributed her success to her positive beliefs and her ability to effectively multitask. Likewise, in accounting for her accomplishments, she is especially proud to have established a healthy work-life balance, ably juggling her responsibilities both as a business owner and as a mother.
