41 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT organization is well-regarded for its annual festivals and concerts, which have been hosted since 1977 to celebrate folk, traditional, Celtic, and world music and dance. Ms. Hart remains active as a member of three accordion bands, including Squeeze Play, Fresh Squeezed, and Squeezus for Jesus, each of which play within her community free of charge. They are particularly prominent during Oktoberfest and the holiday season. Ms. Hart initiated her career in 1967, serving as a music teacher and band director. During this time, she primarily worked at the Flint Institute of Music and Dutchess Community College, where she taught accordion classes and utilized her practiced expertise in gospel music. In her own academic pursuits, Ms. Hart completed several years of collegiate coursework, studying at Wilmington College, the University of Michigan and Mott College. She originally began taking accordion lessons when she was 9 years old, which led to her further divulging in the musical arts and honing her craft. As part of her dedication to her profession, Ms. Hart remains affiliated with the Accordionists and Teachers Guild. Well-regarded for her accomplishments and talent, Ms. Hart has accrued more than 70 trophies throughout her time as a musician. In light of her fulfilling career, she has largely attributed her success to her unbridled passion and patience. Likewise, she has always found the camaraderie in her bands to be deeply rewarding. In accounting for her accomplishments, Ms. Hart is particularly proud to have won first place with her band at the 1969 Coupe Mondiale. With over 50 years of professional experience to her credit, Peggy Minore Hart has cultivated a fulfilling career in the music industry. Since 2007, she has served as the music instructor and band director for Old Songs Inc., a traditional music and dance group based in Voorheesville, New York.
