85 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Dr. Zbigniew J. Pasek is a proven leader in the field of education, drawing upon over five decades of professional experience. Since 2014, he has served as a full professor at the University of Windsor, where he specializes in academia pertaining to industrial, service and health care engineering, as well as statistics and product development. Prior to his current appointment, he worked at the university as an associate professor from 2005 to 2014. Adjacent to his primary duties, Dr. Pasek has excelled as a visiting professor at the Poznan University of Technology since 2008. Originally from Poland, Dr. Pasek began his career at Politechnika Warszawska, where he operated as an assistant professor between 1978 and 1987. He subsequently immigrated to the United States and joined the University of Michigan, where he worked as a research and teaching assistant from 1987 to 1993 and as an associate research scientist from 1993 to 2005. In addition to his endeavors as an educator, Dr. Pasek honorably served in the Polish Air Force, ultimately achieving the rank of lieutenant before exiting his service in 1979. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Dr. Pasek cultivated his own formal education. As a student at the Warsaw University of Technology, he earned an MS in mechanical engineering in 1978. He subsequently continued his studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he achieved his first PhD in mechanical engineering in 1987. Dr. Pasek later attended the University of Michigan and achieved an MME in 1989 and a second PhD in mechanical engineering in 1993. To commemorate his achievements, Dr. Pasek has been honored with several accolades, most recently including a Medal of Merit for Contributions to the Poznan University of Technology in 2016. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his success to his collaborations with fellow academic visionaries.
