96 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Daniel R. Wesley is an expert in the health care and education industries, with over a decade of professional experience to his credit. Since 2021, he has served as the emergency medical science program director at Blue Ridge Community College, where he maintains the academic institution’s accreditation with both the national and state accrediting bodies. Likewise, Mr. Wesley oversees all the school’s emergency medical science courses, maintaining their quality and ensuring they follow state and national regulations. Throughout his career, Mr. Wesley has specialized in pre-hospital care and emergency medical service (EMS). Prior to his current appointment, he served as a field training officer for the Spartanburg EMS from 2014 to 2022. He was also a level three lead senior paramedic for the organization, having originally joined in 2013. In his prior roles as an educator, Mr. Wesley worked at Western Carolina University, his alma mater, as an adjunct faculty member between 2019 and 2021 and as a clinical preceptor from 2017 to 2021. He originally joined the university in 2011 as an emergency medical technician (EMT), a position in which he served until 2013. In his own academic pursuits, Mr. Wesley originally pursued a formal education at Montreat College, where he earned an Associate of Science in biology in 2010. He subsequently continued his studies at Western Carolina University, achieving a Bachelor of Science in emergency medical care in 2013 and a master’s degree in health science in 2019. In addition to his collegiate credentials, Mr. Wesley holds several certifications as an EMS instructor and paramedic. As part of his dedication to his profession, Mr. Wesley remains affiliated with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians and the National Association of EMS Educators. Additionally, he was honored as an Eagle Scout by the Boy Scouts of America. In light of his fulfilling career, Mr. Wesley has largely attributed his success to his passion for helping others.
