Prior to her work at Queen’s Medical, Ms. Wallace began her career at Adventist Health as a radiology information systems coordinator in 2002. Until her departure in 2016, she advanced to roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in her position as a diagnostic service line director in 2012. Throughout this period, she expanded upon her expertise in medical imaging, patient access, and laboratory and pathology services, among other disciplines. Well-qualified in her field, she was certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies and was inducted as a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2023. Ms. Wallace first became involved in the field of medicine due to the influence of her mother, who was a registered nurse. Having initially dabbled in marketing studies at college, a severe car accident and the wonderful encounter with an x-ray technologist that followed led her to become fascinated with radiography, which proved to reside at the intersection between patient care and technology. After earning an Associate of Science in radiologic technology at the College of DuPage in 1991, she went on to attend National Louis University, from which she received a BA in health care leadership in 2000. Ms. Wallace subsequently graduated with a master’s degree in adult and continuing education in 2003. Throughout Ms. Wallace’s career, she has been presented with numerous opportunities and never yielded in the face of adversity. Each of her opportunities has contributed to her current prosperity. Outside of her vocational efforts, she remains active with numerous volunteer efforts throughout the state of Hawaii. Missie Wallace has demonstrated her commitment to excellence as the senior director of diagnostic imaging at The Queen’s Medical Center, a premier hospital located in Honolulu County, Hawaii. An expert in diagnostic imaging, she is proud to have built a well-honed and supportive ancillary team.
