After taking EMT classes offered by the TFPD, he fell in love with the excitement and uncertainty of every call, and he subsequently became an active certified flight paramedic. As Mr. Klimek gained more experience, working in cramped helicopters under dangerous conditions, he wondered why he and his colleagues were still using needles, which were difficult to handle even in average situations. In his endeavors to change the industry, he formed his own company, Klim-Loc Medical LLC. Likewise, he developed a patent for the Klim-Loc Needleless Medical Vial, which uses a threaded luer system cap and includes a fail-safe needle access port. Klim-Loc Medical has become the global leader in needleless medical vial technology, with patents in the United States and patents pending in Europe. Mr. Klimek is not content to rest on his laurels, however, and remains devoted to further enhancing his product’s safety, simplicity and sustainability while also decreasing environmental impact by eliminating waste.
