Williams-Latnie is a seasoned expert in the field of mental health care. She previously served as the director of behavior health services at the Hamilton Community Health Network in Flint, Michigan, from 2009 to 2022. Since retiring from her leadership role, Dr. Williams-Latnie has continued working as a clinical therapist via the online therapy brands BetterHelp and Talkspace. Ever committed to her profession, Dr. Williams-Latnie maintains her affiliation with several pertinent organizations, including the National Association of Social Workers. She is also a member of the National Education Association, having served in several roles as an educator and academic administrator over the course of her career. In her own academic pursuits, Dr. Williams-Latnie has achieved several degrees, including a PhD from Southern California University and a DSW from Capella University. In her civic-minded efforts, Dr. Williams-Latnie served on the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Attributing her success to her faith and passion for helping others, she is particularly proud to have operated her own private psychiatric clinic for 30 years. DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIOR HEALTH SERVICES (RETIRED), HAMILTON COMMUNITY HEALTH NETWORK CLINICAL THERAPIST, BETTERHELP AND TALKSPACE Grand Blanc, MI Leveraging over 40 years of experience, Steve Lurie is an expert in the fields of community mental health and health care management. Well-versed in health care systems and social work, he was the executive director of the Canadian Mental Health Association Toronto Branch from 1979 to 2020 and has served as a senior fellow at the Wellesley Institute since 2020, where he works on projects related to mental health and housing. Likewise, he remains active at local, provincial and national levels of advocacy and public policy. He has excelled as an adjunct professor and lecturer at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work of the University of Toronto since 2000. Mr. Lurie graduated with a Master of Social Work in 1973 and ultimately was granted a Master of Management from McGill University in 2001. Furthermore, he dedicated himself to other academic pursuits during the 2000s, operating in roles internationally as a lecturer and technical health care consultant. He also maintains affiliation as a volunteer with the Toronto Police Services Board and the Mental Health Commission of Canada. To commemorate his achievements, Mr. Lurie has received several honors, including the Order of Canada in 2016.
