Having earned a bachelor’s degree in allied health at the University of Kentucky, she largely specializes in identifying precise diagnoses for patients so they can receive the proper medication and treatment. Since 2015, Ms. Miles has served as a travel medical technologist at AMN Healthcare, a well-regarded health care staffing company. She has otherwise excelled as a medical technologist since the early 2000s, having operated in several other key roles during her time in the field. As a part of her professional responsibilities, she travels across the United States performing chemistry, microbiology, hematology, toxicology and immunology tests. To commemorate her achievements, Ms. Miles has received numerous honors for her committed work. In the coming years, she hopes to continue traveling and applying her expertise before retiring. Furthermore, she plans to continue working part-time and participating in event organization with various charitable causes. MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST AMN Healthcare Lexington, KY Lisa Fisher Morgan, CPC, is a health care professional with more than 15 years of expertise in medical coding for hospital and emergency care facilities. Since 2017, she has served as the lead remote health information management (HIM) coder and emergency department liaison for Canton-Potsdam Hospital. A key staff member, she is responsible for auditing all provider billing codes for accuracy and appropriate documentation and collaborating with a group of three partner hospitals. Inspired by her experiences with adult education and career training, including her early experiences as a part-time coder for an X-ray billing company, Ms. Morgan has developed and taught courses for Lewiston Adult Education for 17 years and served as local chapter president of the American Academy of Professional Coders. She maintains a passion for helping others break into the field and emphasizes the value of having a professional mentor at all stages of development. In the coming years, she hopes to continue her work in a consulting capacity with an eye toward developing the next generation of medical coders.
