594 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HOSPITALITY AND LEISURE Hailing from previous experience in the health care industry, during which time she served as an emergency medical technician, Kaleen L. Smith-Oldridge has since joined her husband, Billy Oldridge, as co-owner of BillyBob’s Butcher Shop. Established in 2017 in Elgin, Oregon, the shop provides high quality meat from cattle, pigs, lambs, goats and wild game. In her leadership role, Ms. SmithOldridge serves as a point of contact for customers and oversees all other administrative and clerical tasks. She also handles the raising of cattle at the couple’s BKO Ranch outside of Summerville. Ms. Smith-Oldridge’s husband drew from the inspiration of his father, Daryl, in pursuing a career as a butcher. The elder Mr. Oldridge originally opened a meat shop and raised his own cattle between 1992 and 2017, whereupon he retired. Undeterred by his reluctance to sell the business, Ms. Smith-Oldridge and her husband started their own business in 2017. They found immediate success and a boom in demand for their products, leading them to eventually take ownership of Stafford’s in 2021. Today, the original downtown shop serves as the company’s primary retail storefront, while the newly christened BillyBob’s & Stafford’s Custom Meats outside of town functions as their main USDA and custom processing facility. Outside of their work in the meat industry, Ms. Smith-Oldridge and her husband are the proud parents of seven children, through whom they have six grandchildren. Likewise, she enjoys a variety of arts and crafts, including quilting, sewing, crocheting, floral arrangements and painting. Looking toward the future, she and her husband hope to fully pay off and sell their new USDA plant and enter semi-retirement shortly thereafter. With that accomplished, they hope to continue running BillyBob’s Butcher Shop at a smaller scale. KALEEN L. SMITH-OLDRIDGE CO-OWNER BillyBob’s Butcher Shop Elgin, OR
