During law school, Mrs. Courville served as the director of external appellate competitions for the Board of Advocates at her alma mater, Paul M. Hebert Law School at Louisiana State University (LSU). She also served LSU Law’s Journal of Energy Law and Resources as the notes and comments editor and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. Prior to beginning her career, Mrs. Courville pursued higher education, completing a bachelor’s degree in public relations and criminal justice at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. During this time, she also participated in an internship with the Dill Law Firm, which solidified her plans to pursue a career in the legal profession. She subsequently earned a JD and graduate diploma in comparative law from the Paul M. Herbert Law School at Louisiana State University. During her studies at law school, Mrs. Courville was a two-time national semifinalist at the John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court National Competition, having previously been named an Outstanding Graduate by her alma mater. As a testament to her success in the field, Mrs. Courville has received numerous accolades and honors. Named an Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney by the Lafayette Bar Association, she also earned the Steven James Matt Beyond the Books Award and was highlighted among the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Top 40 Under 40 Young Lawyers in the State of Louisiana in 2023.
