Well-versed in employee benefits, executive compensation, and both general business and corporate tax law, he has excelled as a selfemployed lawyer in Montpelier, Vermont, since 2015. Prior to beginning his own private ventures, Mr. Miller worked extensively with Hill and Barlow for 26 years. Likewise, he was a member of the senior counsel for Goulston & Storrs PC for 12 years. Throughout his time in the field, Mr. Miller has been well-regarded for deftly solving a variety of legal problems for his regular and referred clients. Ever committed to his profession, he remains affiliated with an informal employee benefits group based in Boston, Massachusetts. In his adjacent civic-minded efforts, he is also a former board member of the Women’s Lunch Place in Boston. Alongside his other professional expertise, Mr. Miller honorably served in the United States Navy for three years in the late 1960s. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Miller pursued a formal education, originally attending Duke University and earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1966. He subsequently continued his studies at the University of Connecticut, where he received an MBA in 1973. Mr. Miller ultimately achieved a Juris Doctor in tax law and taxation, magna cum laude, at the Harvard Law School in 1976. Furthermore, he is fully licensed to practice law by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and in the state of Vermont. To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Miller was previously honored by and featured in the Harvard Law Review. Attributing his achievements to his academic success and track record for excellence, he is notably proud to have handled countless legal battles for his clientele, including aiding an individual with stabilizing their pension and retirement plan funds.
