He also currently consults for Allied Services Rehab and looks forward to continuing to use his medical expertise for the benefit of others. Dr. Gibbons credits his personal and professional success to the support of his family and faith, the love of his country and community, and a passion for making a difference. Dr. Gerald P. Gibbons Jr. has dedicated more than 45 years of his distinguished career to promoting the long-term health and well-being of his patients. Motivated by his natural compassion and desire to help others, he attended Georgetown University Medical School, where he ultimately achieved a Doctor of Medicine in 1976. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Gibbons completed his residency at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital. In addition to his academic credentials, he is fully certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Throughout his career, Dr. Gibbons has proudly served patients throughout the Wyoming Valley region and Northeastern Pennsylvania. His commitment to professional and organizational excellence led him to hold various positions of leadership, including a post as assistant chief of medicine at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. In addition to his clinical work, he was beloved in the community for his commitment to others.
