108 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT Kathy “KB” Brown has distinguished herself as a seasoned leader in the field of media broadcasting. Leveraging nearly three decades of experience, she has excelled as a program director at Cumulus Media in Charleston, South Carolina, since 2017. The media enterprise produces radio programming for over 400 radio stations across 85 markets in the United States. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Brown held a similar leadership role at iHeartMedia Inc. in St. Louis, Missouri, from 2014 to 2017. During the early stages of her career, Ms. Brown was an operations manager for Radio One in Washington, DC, from 1996 to 2010. Ever committed to her profession, she has remained active as a member of the National Association of Broadcasters. Before beginning her vocational journey, she pursued a formal education, earning a BS in communications at Illinois State University in 1984. Attributing much of her success to her preparedness and drive to make a difference, Ms. Brown is particularly proud to have been honored with a Living Legend Award in 2019. In the coming years, she aims to focus her efforts more keenly on voice-over work. PROGRAM DIRECTOR Cumulus Media Charleston, SC Leveraging 40 years of experience as an educator and entertainer, Juli A. Burney has found success as a motivational humorist since 1985. Well-known for her ability to deliver powerful messages through humor and effective storytelling, she has spoken before a wide range of audiences throughout the United States and Canada. A natural improvisational artist and communication expert, Ms. Burney has developed and presented programs for a number of companies, nonprofit organizations and government agencies. She has been featured on various radio and television programs throughout her career. Ms. Burney served as a professor of communication and theatre at Doane University from 1985 until her retirement in 2019. Highly regarded for her ability to use humor in the classroom, she was named Teacher of the Year on six occasions. Other accolades to her credit include Artist of the Year in Nebraska in 2001 and a Leadership and Communication Award from Toastmasters International. Ms. Burney's proudest achievements are the people she has helped achieve joyful lives and worthy purposes. Attributing her success to humor, faith and effective communication, she is grateful to have made a difference in the lives of others.
