The ministry spreads the life lessons he learned following his successful battle against stage four colon cancer. Ministry in churches and private groups has remained an important part of Mr. Scott’s life for over 30 years now. In the coming years, he looks forward to retiring. In his retirement, he intends to continue his ministry work, particularly military ministry, and volunteer further in his community. Utilizing his book, Mr. Scott hopes to encourage others to remain strong through the adversities of life. Raymond Paul Scott has cultivated over 40 years of professional success. Inspired by his health journey, he published “Faith, Cancer, God’s Miracle: Ray Scott Survivor Stage 4 Colon Cancer” in 2023, and he subsequently introduced the book to the Library of Congress. As part of his accomplished career, he spent two decades as the administrator for Price Disposal in Kern County, California. Today, he operates as the regional compliance and auditing coordinator for Burrtec Kern. Prior to working in administration, Mr. Scott honorably served in the United States Marine Corps for six years, retiring at the rank of sergeant. At the Keep America Beautiful National Conference in San Diego, Mr. Scott held two presentations on a program he designed to honor and recognize military bases for their recycling efforts. In light of his expertise in California state regulations, he also spoke at a state session focused on mandates affecting recycling and composting efforts throughout the country. Mr. Scott has received numerous accolades for his contributions to the industry, including the Kern Green Leadership Award in 2012 and the Sue Smith Professional Leadership Award in 2021.
