Early in his career, Dr. Costello realized the limitations of traditional medicine, endeavoring to explore other options for his patients. He returned to school, graduating with a Master of Arts in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica in 2005. Shortly thereafter, he transitioned into practicing a combination of traditional and holistic medicine but found the two difficult to integrate. In 2021, he sold his business and developed a new holistic practice, Lloyd Costello, MD, A Professional Corporation. Dr. Costello is well-regarded for going beyond the basic limitations of medical care and identifying the root cause of his patients’ issues. Aiming to promote wellness and well-being through alternative, natural treatments, rather than relying solely on pharmaceutical solutions, he remains open to any forms of therapy and treatment that could benefit his patients. To wit, Dr. Costello approaches each patient as an individual, tailoring treatment plans to their specific needs. To remain abreast of the latest industry developments, Dr. Costello maintains memberships with the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine, in addition to serving on the National Organization for Medical Intuition board. Over his 40 years in the medical field, he has sought to alleviate the suffering of others, a desire that has sustained him through the obstacles he has faced throughout his career. In the coming years, Dr. Costello hopes to continue his work and grow his practice so he can help more patients achieve optimal health on their own terms. From a formative age, Dr. Lloyd Costello knew he wanted to become a doctor. At the age of 12, he suffered from a painful stomach disorder that inspired him to help others struggling with similar conditions, further igniting his passion for medicine.
