The company’s operations in China include creating a commercial parking company and pioneering new condominium management strategies. In recognition of his work in China, Mr. Taylor received the 2004 James Felt Creative Counseling Award from The Counselors of Real Estate, and California State University honored him with a 2006 Vision and Visionary Award for his industrychanging real estate innovations. His dedication to helping others create wealth through real estate has allowed him to lead his associates to many prosperous projects, including founding the first real estate school in Russia, and he has lectured to students around the world. In addition to his academic and management ventures, Mr. Taylor is developing a 655-acre resort project at Lake Oroville, California. Robert M. Taylor is a real estate entrepreneur with more than five decades of success in global property management. He began investing in real estate at the age of 19 and has owned more than 400 properties throughout his career. A graduate of California State University Fullerton, he holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration. He would later return to the institution as a mid-career executive to establish its Center for Real Estate, now recognized as one of the best programs of its kind. After graduation and honorable service in the United States military, Mr. Taylor began working for the Robert A. McNeil Corporation, eventually rising to become the vice president of the company’s Southern California holdings, comprising more than 10,000 apartments and 2 million square feet of commercial space. In 1978, he retired from the company to establish The REMM Group, a property management company initially created to oversee his individual holdings.
