Likewise talented as an inventor, he is one of the original designers of the Reebok Step, an aerobic platform first introduced in 1989, which went on to achieve global popularity. In accounting for his success, Mr. Leftwich credits his legacy as an architect, entrepreneur and adventurer, having sailed the coast of Africa, traveled throughout Eastern Europe, and started a company during his youth. Looking ahead, he would like to write a book about his journeys, though his immediate goal remains to continue maintaining the growth and success of Real Model International. Furthermore, he has received numerous distinguished service awards from regional realtor groups and associations. Likewise, he was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 2003. Specializing in residential and commercial real estate, Mr. Leonard was appointed to the Texas Real Estate Commission by Governor Greg Abbott in 2016 and remained active as the vice chairman until 2022. Additionally, he is proud to have been voted by his peers to the role of chairman of the board for the San Antonio Board of Realtors in 2008. Recently hailed with the title of realtor emeritus, Mr. Leonard hopes to retire from the field of real estate within the next decade but plans to remain active as a mentor and agent in the near future.
