516 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Driven by a zeal for life, Mr. Kageyama has distinguished himself through his YouTube channel, 2BYourOwnHero, through which he has shared his cancer journey with hundreds of viewers. Diagnosed with stage four cancer in 2021, he made the decision not only to live, but also to inspire other cancer patients to appreciate their lives. Since beginning his channel in May of 2021, Mr. Kageyama has continued to draw fresh energy from the testimonies of his viewers, who have thanked him for his positive message and the touching stories of other cancer survivors. In addition to his video work, including live streams and guest appearances on other platforms, such as “Showing Up: Perspectives On Cancer,” Mr. Kageyama is a co-founder and moderator at Cancer Conquering Community, meeting on Zoom every Monday night at 7:00 pm EST. He also contributed a chapter to Tim Sohn’s 2023 book, “Perspectives On Cancer: Cancer Patients, Survivors & Supporters Share Their Stories.” Likewise committed to public speaking, Mr. Kageyama proudly delivered a speech on cancer and faith at his local church, where he spoke before 80 congregants. Prior to his experiences as an advocate, Mr. Kageyama studied biology at Loyola Marymount University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1980. Following this accomplishment, he worked at his family business, F.K. Nursey, for more than 25 years before entering the oil and gas industry, through which he sold individual oil wells to investors. Mr. Kageyama subsequently pivoted toward consulting and established Oils All Well Texas LLC, where he remains active today. Reflecting on his achievements, Mr. Kageyama attributes much of his success to his tenacity and will to survive, as well as his ability to encourage others to do the same. He is similarly grateful for the support of his wife and family, whose selfless love has proven instrumental to his journey.
