Prior to her current endeavors, Ms. Lamoureux worked as a nurse aide for four years. Outside of her primary career, Ms. Lamoureux enjoys making people — especially seniors — laugh, having volunteered as a clown for several years. Recognized for her talent in this capacity, she notably placed third in a talent show during a clown convention. She maintains her affiliation with the South East Clown Association, a nonprofit organization that has sought to represent entertainers and creatives throughout the Southeast for more than four decades. Additional civic involvement to her credit includes her past work delivering food and supplies to the elderly during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as donating meals to those in need. Hailing from a family history of involvement in the field of health care, Ms. Lamoureux’s one sister is a cardiac nurse, while her other sister works with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. For her own part, she initially studied nursing during the early 1980s. After attaining an associate degree in the field, she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in health care leadership in the following years. Over the course of her professional journey, Ms. Lamoureux has attributed much of her success to the influence of her mentors, whose guidance was invaluable in shepherding her along the right path. Among her most cherished accomplishments, she is particularly proud to have taught patients useful methods for dealing with anxiety without resorting to the use of drugs. Looking ahead, she aspires to continue excelling in the field of nursing for the foreseeable future. Motivated by a passion for health care accessibility, Gail L. Lamoureux has found success as a care manager at Humana, the fourth largest health insurance provider in the United States.
