To wit, he continued to indulge his carpentry skills on a part-time basis while managing operations at Tire Pros, often building expansions for the premises. In 1979, his son, Mark, joined the shop to continue the legacy of exemplary service for the communities of Angleton, Clute, Freeport, Lake Jackson and Houston. Likewise talented in the field of accounting, his daughter, Gail, began devoting her time and expertise to the financial management of his business in 1983, drawing on skills acquired as a self-taught bookkeeper since she was only 13 years old. Now semi-retired, Mr. Soileau looks back upon his contributions with satisfaction, gratified to have cultivated a multifaceted career. Wellregarded for his work, he received a United States Senate commendation in 2022, which honored his business acumen. Likewise, he was granted a certificate of Congressional recognition via resolution by the state of Texas and a proclamation from the Greater Angleton Chamber of Commerce. Over the course of his career, Mr. Soileau has proudly overcome various challenges. The world has changed significantly since he began his professional journey, and his accomplishments in remaining self-employed for several decades cannot be understated. Likewise, he is overjoyed to have provided a valuable service on behalf of his community — the truest measure of success not being the profit he makes, but the opportunity to help those in need. As the world continues to evolve, Mr. Soileau remains steadfast in his dedication to helping others, and he looks forward to continuing in such endeavors for many years to come.
