Golden is a fine art appraiser, gallerist, psychologist, conservationist, archeologist and entrepreneur who has created positive change in numerous industries over the course of more than four decades. Driven by a lifelong passion for art and culture, she began her studies toward a fine arts degree before ultimately earning a BS in psychology an MS in counseling psychology, focusing on helping others. Ms. Golden excelled as a counselor and professor at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida, and became the director of The Counseling and Career Center. She introduced innovative technology and developed the center as one of the first model computer career centers in the nation. Furthermore, she was part of the research team for the later version of the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator. To wit, she is published in “Applications of The MyersBriggs Type Indicator in Higher Education.” Ms. Golden capped her career in the role as a consultant, aiding corporate clients such as Johnson & Johnson, DuPont, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. She also had a radio show, “Career Wise,” which was broadcast to New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. She departed from these positions to reconnect with her interest in the arts, antiquities and archeology, and to explore other avenues for creating change as she raised her two children, Jennifer and Alexander. At the age of 19, as an active Sierra Club member, Ms. Golden participated in her first expedition to Guatemala with the Florida Natural History Museum team. There, she uncovered archeological sites in Tikal and spent time documenting unexcavated sites while climbing and exploring temples and semi active volcanoes. She later worked on the Gallina archeological site under Dr. Hawley Ellis in New Mexico for eight years, during which time she unearthed significant pottery that was later placed in the collection at the Ghost Ranch Museum, sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution. She later conducted archeological expeditions and tours in Ecuador, Mexico, China, Peru, Italy and Greece.
