Combining over 250 years of experience in the practice areas of civil litigation, construction law, insurance claims, mediation services, personal injury and real estate law, Lutz, Bobo & Telfair strives to exceed the expectations of its clients and deliver favorable results. Bearing a wealth of insight into personal injury law and medical malpractice, Mr. Telfair initially began his career as an attorney at Holland & Knight LLP in 1990, where he primarily worked in corporate defense. He subsequently reoriented his focus toward plaintiff representation and accrued further experience in medical malpractice, product liability and wrongful death cases. Mr. Telfair initially studied at the University of Tampa, where he attained a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in 1987. Following this achievement, he attended the Stetson University College of Law, where he received a JD in 1990. He was subsequently admitted to practice in the state of Florida, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals. To remain aware of developments in the field, Mr. Telfair maintains his affiliation with the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and the Sarasota County and American Bar Associations. Among his most cherished accomplishments, he is particularly proud to have served as the president of the Manatee County Bar Association for two years. Well-regarded for his exemplary work in legal representation, Mr. Telfair was hailed as a Client Champion by Martindale-Hubbell in 2020 and as a recipient of the Stanley Milledge Award, a scholarship for students of Stetson University that recognizes significant contributions to the field of law. He has also been hailed for his work on behalf of the Sarasota County Teen Court Program.
