Williams, Esq., DBA has been helping individuals and companies navigate legal challenges and reduce risk and turbulence. Initially joining the firm in 1988 as a senior associate, she held a wealth of prior experience in international affairs as a member of the Chinese Foreign Ministry. During this time, she participated in work that led to the normalization of U.S.-China relations in 1979. She also served as former President Richard Nixon’s interpreter during his visits to China. When an opportunity arose to study law in the United States, Ms. Zhao worked tirelessly to achieve her goal of bridging the gap between the two countries. Well-regarded as the first citizen of the People’s Republic of China to attain a law degree and admission to practice in the United States, she organized and led the first Chinese practice group in the U.S. alongside an American partner.
