Fegler has distinguished himself as the owner of Paradise Ammo, a firearms, accessories and ammunition shop based in Benkelman, Nebraska. Carrying a number of prominent brands, including Bushmaster, Glock, Hi-Point, Heckler & Koch, Remington and Ruger, he handles all administrative duties at the store, as well as personally helping customers find the products that best suit their needs. Mr. Fegler previously worked in agriculture for over three decades, beginning in 1978. Raising sugar beets, corn, beans, alfalfa and wheat, he managed approximately 14 different farms throughout Wyoming across the span of his career. Following his retirement, his good friend, the late Stan Hansen — a gunsmith and firearms dealer — encouraged him to obtain a Federal Firearms License. Though initially worried about small-town competition, he successfully established Paradise Ammo with Mr. Hansen’s assistance. Now operating on his own, Mr. Fegler has since learned all he can about the retail and firearms industry, and he has thrived in honor of Mr. Hansen’s memory. Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Fegler’s competitive spirit has found expression in both drag racing and bowling, through which he has won several competitions. As a devoted father, he also cherishes his daughter and two sons. Among his avocations, he also relishes the thrill of riding his motorcycle and indulges in the art of shooting. In accounting for his success, Mr. Fegler credits the influence of his father, who instilled in him the values of hard work. Likewise, he is proud to have always gotten along well with others and to have cultivated a reputation as a humorous and positive presence in the community. Looking toward the future, he aspires to hire a manager to run his business while he pursues other long-term goals, such as traveling more widely throughout the United States and the world at large.
