Milne is recognized for his excellence as the vice president of purchasing at the Delta Faucet Company, a manufacturer of plumbing fixtures and materials. In this capacity, he exhibits proven expertise in product knowledge and leadership, and provides direct oversight for several employees within his division. Mr. Milne initially joined Delta Faucet in 1970 as a purchasing agent in the plumbing products division, from which he rose to become a purchasing agent and divisional purchasing manager before attaining his current position in 1988. Prior to his affiliation with Delta Faucet, Mr. Milne served in several similar roles throughout the retail industry, including as a manager of youth and recreational products at the Leisure Group Inc., a purchasing agent for Mascon Toy Co., and numerous roles at American Radiator & Standard Sanitary Corp., beginning in 1958. To remain aware of developments in the field, he has maintained his affiliation with such organizations as the American Copper Council, where he sat on the board of directors, and the Purchasing Management Association of Indianapolis. He was also a member of the National Association of Purchasing Management, where he served as president from 1982 to 1983 and was hailed as Man of the Year in 1975. Mr. Milne originally served as a member of the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1958. Following this period, he completed coursework at the University of Cincinnati from 1959 to 1962 and later achieved a BS in business and commerce at the University of Louisville in 1963. He also attended the University of Wisconsin, the University of Texas, the City College of New York and Case Western Reserve University, where he received various certifications in purchasing and economics. Outside of his primary vocation, Mr. Milne is a member of the National Alliance of Businessmen and a board director for the Young Men’s Christian Association. Well-regarded for his accomplishments, he has contributed several articles on his area of expertise to professional journals and has been appointed on two occasions as a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Julian Carroll in 1976 and Governor John Y.
