Earlier in her career, Ms. Troise was a secretary at Taft Hotel and Republic Pictures from 1952 to 1954 and at Walter Schneider Associates Inc. from 1954 to 1957. She commenced her career in 1951 as a steno-secretary for General Electric Co. Leveraging her advanced skillset and deep knowledge of business and construction, Ms. Troise attributes much of her success to her extensive tenure in the industry. To wit, her expertise has earned her the respect of fellow executives and city officials, despite working in what is typically a male-dominated field. Among the many highlights of her career, Ms. Troise is particularly proud of maintaining her business over the decades, which included transitioning to modernity when the internet became more prevalent. Ms. Troise similarly finds gratification in her company’s recent successes, including supplying contractors working on the Long Island Rail Road’s third rail project and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s Harvard project. They are also presently supplying operations for the New York City Department of Transportation, the Penn Station Access and Moonda Viaduct projects. As a testament to her success, Ms. Troise was honored with the Bridges to Success Award from Chemical Bank in 1995 and 1996. She was also named a New Jersey Business Icon in 2022. A member of the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association Inc., the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and the American Wood Protection Association, among others, Ms. Troise looks forward to retiring in the coming years. She intends to pass down her legacy to her granddaughter and nephew, who will take over the business. Audrey H. Troise is a distinguished figure in the field of business management, drawing upon over 70 years of experience. Joining William G. Moore & Son Inc. of Delaware in 1957, she ascended the ranks until becoming the president of the organization in 1976, where she remains today.
