686 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SCIENCES, PHARMACEUTICALS AND BIOTECHNOLOGY PhD in organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry and organometallic chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1986. Additionally, he received a PhD in organometallic chemistry from the Universitaet Bayreth in 1986 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in chemistry at Harvard University between 1987 and 1989. Ever committed to his profession, Dr. Kool is well-regarded as a member of the American Chemical Society. Likewise, he is known for his scholarly output, having authored and contributed to the publication of numerous papers over the course of his career. He also holds over 75 patents for his work in the field. Attributing much of his success to his consistency and inventive productivity, Dr. Kool is particularly proud of his work developing chemical agents used in the removal of spent coatings from gas turbines. Looking to the future, he hopes to continue his work in solving difficult problems for many years to come. Having accumulated nearly five decades of experience, Dr. Lawrence Bernard Kool is a proven expert in the fields of chemistry and materials science. Particularly well-versed in both inorganic and organic chemistry, as well as organometallic chemistry, advanced aerospace materials and metallurgy, he has served as a senior scientist at General Electric (GE) Aerospace Research in Niskayuna, New York, since 1999. Much of Dr. Kool’s work pertains to hands-on research and laboratory work surrounding a variety of topics in chemistry, in addition to assisting his colleagues in numerous ongoing projects. Dr. Kool previously operated as a senior research scientist for GE Superabrasives in Worthington, Ohio, from 1995 to 1999. Furthermore, he is well-versed in chemistry academia, having excelled as an assistant professor of inorganic and organic chemistry in the department of chemistry at Boston College between 1988 and 1995. At the onset of his career in 1976, he worked with KMS Fusion in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as a research chemist until 1982. As part of his vocational journey, Dr. Kool cultivated his own higher education, originally earning a BS in chemistry at the University of Michigan in 1974. He subsequently achieved a LAWRENCE BERNARD KOOL, PHD SENIOR SCIENTIST General Electric Aerospace Research Clifton Park, NY
