357 Millennium - Seventeenth Edition ENTREPRENEURS Jennifer B. Stevens has cultivated a career of excellence as a business owner and entrepreneur. After receiving a BS in interdisciplinary studies from Texas State University in 2002, she created her first business, Dental Health Management Solutions (DHMS), alongside her husband, who worked as a health care administrator and senior director for a group of Alzheimer’s assisted living centers in Texas. Noticing the difficulties the facilities placed in procuring dental services for residents, he purchased the necessary equipment and contracted dentists to provide dental care to assisted living centers and the military. Since creating DHMS in 2004, Ms. Stevens has become a prolific business owner, opening Heelem Holdings in 2008, Capital Dental Equipment in 2012, 6S Strategies in 2016 and 6S River Ranch in 2021, all of which remain in operation today. Alongside her various ownership roles, she is the president of AnyPlace MD, a mobile health care service based in Cedar Park, Texas. Outside of her primary professional endeavors, Ms. Stevens is a passionate civic leader with a strong focus on community outreach. To wit, she serves as the president and co-founder of the Tucker Project, which was created in association with Texas Against Fentanyl (TXAF) to integrate information on illicit opioid and fentanyl addiction into public school health education classes. She is proud to represent mothers who have lost their children to fentanyl addiction and poisoning, and she works pro bono on the cause. Additionally, she is a board member for several organizations, including the Apogee School. Looking toward the future, Ms. Stevens hopes to be remembered for making a difference in her community and beyond. Accounting for her achievements, she attributes her success to her motivation, intuition and resourcefulness, and she is committed to follow-through efforts for her various charitable causes, thus creating better outcomes with lawmakers and state agencies, as well as improving education for children.
