Bearing a wealth of expertise in Oracle-related code, databases and other associated software, he made several significant contributions during his employment with DMBA. Among his most cherished accomplishments, Mr. Jones is particularly proud to have received an Excellence Award. He also created software for one department that greatly streamlined the processing of certain information, an achievement for which he received the utmost praise from the department supervisor. Following his retirement, Mr. Jones was sought out by the South High Alumni Association for his computer skills, which ultimately resulted in him joining the board of the organization. In this role, he is responsible for managing the association database and maintaining connections between its various members. Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Jones became a published author with the release of his 2021 book, “Last Saturday: Before Jesus Christ Returns.” With its genesis residing in a magazine quote he stumbled across over 40 years ago, the book represents the culmination of more than three and a half years of writing. “Last Saturday” is available for purchase on Amazon.com, as well as the Barnes & Noble website. Mr. Jones attributes much of his success to the University of Utah, where he received a quality education that enabled him to excel in both his professional and personal lives. In the coming years, he plans to continue working with the South High Alumni Association and explore new ideas in upcoming books. J aren Lee Jones enjoyed a fulfilling career in computer programming and analysis prior to his retirement. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in computer science, he formally embarked on his professional journey.
