Born in Lithuania, she earned a bachelor’s degree before relocating to the United States in 2003 to continue her education. In 2009, Ms. Maestrey was awarded a Master of Education from Boston University. In addition to her academic credentials, she is also fully certified in teaching ESL. Ms. Maestrey’s affiliation with Showa Women’s University began in 2008, when she joined the staff as an ESL instructor. Since joining the institution, she has continuously worked to empower students to pursue international career success through language skills. Likewise, she actively promotes equality for women in academia and leadership positions. Ms. Maestrey has taught English at Framingham State University, and she has written curriculum for various classes, including a highlevel analytics and AI course awaiting approval for use in Japanese classrooms. She credits her success to her dedicated work ethic and her passion for education. In the coming years, she looks forward to making a greater impact on future generations of students. ESL INSTRUCTOR Showa Women’s University Millis, MA Nermine Aladdin Mahmoud is well-regarded in the field of education, leveraging over 20 years of experience. She currently serves as a computer science instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, teaching computer science, software development, programming, web and mobile development, networking, and security. Prior to her current role, Dr. Mahmoud developed curriculum and taught courses on web and mobile app development at CDI College between 2019 and 2021. She similarly aided students throughout the world at Zayed University in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates branch of Bolton University, and George Mason University. Dr. Mahmoud initially studied computer science at Helwan University in Cairo, Egypt, where she attained a bachelor’s degree in 2000, a Master of Science in 2003, and a Doctor of Philosophy in 2011. Eminently qualified in her field, she is certified in various teaching techniques by LinkedIn and in networking essentials by Cisco Systems Inc. In accounting for her overall success, she credits her dedicated work ethic and her continued education.
