SPITERI, PHD With more than two decades of professional experience to his credit, Dr. Raymond J. Spiteri has cultivated a fulfilling career in the fields of mathematics and science. Specializing in numerical analysis and high-performance computing, he has served as the evaluation group chair for the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada since 2021. Well-versed as an educator as well, Dr. Spiteri has excelled as a professor at the University of Saskatchewan since 2004. Adjacent to his primary duties, Dr. Spiteri has worked with the Ministry of Justice of his local provincial government as a research collaborator since 2016. Likewise, he has worked with the Saskatoon Police Service in a similar role during the same period. In accounting for his professional achievements, Dr. Spiteri is particularly proud to be the first member of his family to achieve a doctoral degree. He is also well-regarded for his scholarly output, having authored numerous articles pertaining to his work in the field over the course of his career. In the coming years, he hopes to continue publishing papers on his field research and studies, in addition to overcoming new obstacles. Dr. John Telford dedicated his career to helping advance civil rights and social justice through access to quality education. Before launching his career in academia, he was a celebrated track and field athlete and NCAA All-American sprinter whose 300- and 400-meter times earned him inclusion in several Halls of Fame. With a passion for teaching, he pursued a higher education, ultimately achieving an EdD at Wayne State University in 1968. Dr. Telford began taking on administrative roles in the late 1970s, working as the executive director of secondary education for the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools. Additionally, he was a deputy superintendent for Rochester Community Schools, where he would remain until 1992. As an expert in school leadership and educational equity, Dr. Telford served as the vice president of the Team for Justice for over 15 years and was named senior advisor on schools to Detroit Mayor Michael Duggan. He served as the superintendent of Detroit Public Schools before retiring from education to focus on writing. Since 2017, Dr. Telford has published six books of poetry and criticism.
