JACKSON Building upon more than 30 years of knowledge as a librarian, Joan M. Jackson has garnered acclaim as the owner and content creator behind JMJ Information Services LLC, a consulting service and purveyor of a wide range of e-products. Among them, JMJ offers the Family Caregiver Respite Care Toolkit, which assists users in cultivating a balanced and rewarding family caregiving experience. Likewise, Ms. Jackson works to develop customizable programs and presentations according to the distinct needs of her clients. Ms. Jackson previously worked as an adult services reference librarian in Sunnyvale, California, where she was responsible for outreach services. In this role, she worked tirelessly to engage with the community and disseminate reading materials to those in need, such as the elderly or disabled. Her experiences during this time fueled her empathy for the senior community, which led her to establish her own enterprise. In addition to her work as a certified senior advisor, Ms. Jackson is a member of the Prince George's County Senior Provider Network. In the coming years, she hopes to expand her business and eventually entrust it to someone who shares her vision. Leveraging over four decades of experience, Ron Jenkins is a proven expert in the field of physical fitness. Well-versed in martial arts training, he has excelled as the owner of the Karate Sports Academy in Warrenton, Virginia, since 1979. Mr. Jenkins particularly specializes in training his students in Taekwondo and Tang Soo Do, in addition to other forms of personal training. As part of his business ventures, he provides his clientele with a variety of personal and group lessons. A master in his own right, Mr. Jenkins holds a ninthdegree black belt. Ever committed to maintaining his professional ventures, Mr. Jenkins remains affiliated with several pertinent organizations, including his local Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. Adjacent to his primary duties serving at the head of his company, he also guides summer training camps for students of all ages. Likewise, in his civic-minded efforts, he provides martial arts demonstrations for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
