The one-man business, based in Harrison, Tennessee, has become well-regarded for promoting a wide variety of musical events in the local community. Mr. Orr’s entrepreneurial spirit and strong business acumen have been instrumental in establishing his company as a prominent player in the concert industry, and he remains deeply committed to concert and music advertising and marketing. While working as a gospel music promoter in Harrison, Mr. Orr had the opportunity to collaborate with Marty Raybon, lead singer of the country band Shenandoah, which propelled him into the country music scene. Currently, he works in both gospel and country music, and he is well-regarded within the industry, serving as a member of both the Country Music Association and the Gospel Music Association. In the coming years, Mr. Orr aspires to continue providing high-quality entertainment for families and communities to enjoy. Leveraging over 15 years of experience as a restaurateur, Thera Omar Palmer IV has found success as the president of Pigman’s Bar-B-Que, a casual barbecue eatery based in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. Having first joined the staff under the original owner, Bill Shaver, in 1985, Mr. Palmer and co-owner Richard Bruce were eventually asked to take over the business when Mr. Shaver retired. Under their leadership, Pigman’s has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Best of the Beach Award in 2023, Community Partner of the Year in 2022, Small Business of the Year in 2019, and Second Best Restaurant on the Outer Banks in 2017. Outside of his primary endeavors in managing operations and marketing for Pigman’s, Mr. Palmer leads the company in its charitable endeavors, collaborating with community organizations to raise funds and support local causes. He attributes much of the success of the business to the excellent staff members, as well as his passion for great food and community service.
