For the past six years, he has proudly served as the principal of the Roosevelt Community Middle School, as part of the School District of Palm Beach County. Parallel to his career in education, he spent nine years as a radio DJ. Mr. Stewart has found fulfillment in interacting with students and building relationships with them. His goal as a principal is to achieve educational excellence by fostering a positive campus culture that supports teachers and enhances the student’s academic experience. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his success to his caring nature instilled in him by his father, a pastor. To commemorate his accomplishments, he was recently honored by the Lynx Organization in 2023 as a Science/STEM Magnet for his work in pre-engineering programs. Mr. Stewart is proud of his ability to foster open lines of communication between teachers, leadership staff and the community. He is known for creating positive academic environments with award-winning extended learning opportunities in diverse content areas. Ever committed to his industry, he also remains affiliated with the Educational Leadership Association, the National Association of Secondary Principals, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and the Thurgood Marshall Masonic Lodge in Wellington, Florida. Mr. Stewart is currently working toward a doctorate in educational leadership at Nova Southeastern University, where he previously received a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration in 2007. As he approaches retirement, he is considering taking on speaking engagements, and he is in the process of creating his own consulting business, where he will share 30 years of wisdom with clients.
