106 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT Mr. Zlatoff-Mirsky similarly maintains his dedication to civic advocacy, serving on the board of directors of the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. As part of his vocational journey, he previously cultivated his higher education as a student at Roosevelt University, where he achieved a Bachelor of Music in 1960 and a Master of Music in 1961. He subsequently joined the institution as a faculty member in the music department from 1961 to 1966. To commemorate his achievements, Mr. Zlatoff-Mirsky was inducted into the Franklin Honor Society in 1961 and later received the Oliver Dixon Award. Additionally, the Chicago Federation of Musicians awarded him the Dal Segno Honorary Award in 1998. In accounting for his accomplishments, he is especially proud of his role as concertmaster for the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra. Looking toward the future, he hopes to continue supporting musical efforts throughout the Southwest. With over five decades of professional experience to his credit, Everett I. Zlatoff-Mirsky is a proven expert in the field of the performing arts. Specializing in music performance, he has excelled as a violinist for the length of his career, in addition to remaining well-versed in operatic literature. His accomplishments promote professional excellence, including co-founding, with Elliott M. Golub, Chicago Performing Arts Incorporated, a business specializing in contracting musicians, where he was both a violinist and musician contractor. Similarly, he was a founding member and violinist/violist with the Contemporary Chamber Players at the University of Chicago, where he served from 1964 to 1982. In his other pursuits, Mr. Zlatoff-Mirsky worked as an independent concertmaster and music contractor from 1961 to 2003. During that period, he was a violinist in the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra and became the orchestra’s concertmaster, as well as its personnel manager from 1974 to 2003. He was also a founding member and violinist with the Orchestra for the Music of the Baroque from 1971 to 2001. Ever committed to his profession, he maintains membership with the Recording Academy and Chicago Federation of Musicians. EVERETT I.
